FALMOUTH- The Falmouth School Committee will consider Marc P. Dupuis, acting superintendent of Falmouth Public Schools, for the permanent position.
The committee made its decision in executive session two weeks ago, Chairman Jamie E. MacDonald IV said this week.
That means, Mr. MacDonald said, instead of conducting a search for a superintendent, the committee will have Mr. Dupuis go through an evaluation process in the spring, beginning in April.
Since September, Mr. Dupuis has been the acting superintendent of Falmouth Public Schools, replacing former Superintendent Dennis A. Richards, who announced his retirement in July after holding the position for three years. During Mr. Richards’s tenure, Mr. Dupuis, a 15-year employee of Falmouth Public Schools, had served as the assistant superintendent for finance and human resources for the district.
