Cara Murphy, Greg Howell Are United In Marriage

Cara E. Murphy of Abington and Greg Howell, also of Abington, were married on July 19 at St. Thomas Chapel in Falmouth Heights by Monsignor Perry.  
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Catherine Murphy  of East Falmouth, and Stephen Murphy, also of East Falmouth.
She wore a full-length, strapless gown of satin with a beaded bodice.
The bridegroom is the son of James Howell of Abington and Ellen Howell of Whitman.
Vanessa Bannick of San Diego, California, served as maid of honor. Her tea-length, strapless dress was of cornflower blue raw silk.
Serving as bridesmaids were Liz Bearce of Waltham, Buseh Romania of South Boston, Deb Selleck of Falmouth, and Katie Allen of Whitman. Their dresses, also tea length, were cornflower blue and Pacific blue raw silk.
The flower girl was Sarah Costa of Miamisburg, Ohio.
Jeremy Hamilton of Eaton, Ohio, served as best man.
The ushers were Dave Vetelino of Rockland, Brian Lewis of Hyde Park, Michael Murphy of Sacramento, California, and Ryan Murphy of Falmouth.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Landfall restaurant in Woods Hole.
After the wedding ceremony, the bridal party and guests were escorted by a bagpiper along Falmouth Heights Road to the town dock. There, they boarded the MV Pied Piper for a cruise through Falmouth Harbor to the Flying Bridge, where a reception for 150 guests was held.
The bride, who has taken her husband’s name, is a 1999 graduate of Falmouth High School and a 2003 graduate of University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She also received her master’s at UMass Amherst in 2004. She is employed as a certified public accountant at Advent International Corporation, Boston.
The bridegroom attended Abington High School and Bridgton Academy, and is a 2000 graduate of UMass Amherst. He is employed as property manager for the Green Company at the Pinehills in Plymouth.
After a two-week honeymoon in Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the couple are making their home in Whitman.
