Cassandra Smith, Jason Doherty Wed In May 24 Ceremony

Cassandra Ann Smith of Falmouth and Jason James Doherty, also of Falmouth, were married on May 24 at St. Thomas Chapel in Falmouth by Monsignor John A. Perry.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Richard Myles Smith Jr. and Terry Ann Smith of Falmouth.
The bridegroom is the son of James and Tammie Doherty of Falmouth.
The matron of honor was Monica Gervais of Summerville, South Carolina, best friend of the bride. The bridesmaids included Katrina Liszka, Jessica Smith, and Elizabeth Eident.
Mia Belle Gervais, daughter of the matron of honor and best man, was the flower girl.
The bride’s wedding gown was of ivory satin, with an empire waist and celtic embroidery covering the bodice and train. She wore pearls that were given to her by her godparents, Franklin and Marylou Botelho. She also wore a blue sapphire ring given to her by the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of orchids, roses, and lily of the valley, designed by Hobart’s Fine Florals of Falmouth.
Her attendants were dressed in tea-length, blue chiffon gowns from Jasmine Bridal and wore floating starfish necklaces. The flower girl was dressed in an ivory satin and chiffon dress accented with a blue ribbon and carried a Nantucket basket made by the mother of the bride.
Serving as best man was Shawn Gervais of Summerville, South Carolina, best friend of the bridegroom.
The groomsmen were Joseph Smith, brother of the bride, Shaun Doherty, brother of the bridegroom, and Denim Tarcey and Philip Michael Dehnick, both friends of the groom. Aidan Richard Smith, son of Angela and Joseph Smith of Mashpee, was the ring bearer.
A reception for 150 guests was held at the Brookside Club in Bourne.
The couple honeymooned in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, for 10 days after their wedding.
They plan to make their home in Easton.
