The Law Dawgs Motorcycle Club International, Inc. has released the ride route for tomorrow’s fifth annual Corporal William A. Paolini Sr. Memorial Motorcycle Ride and Blessing.
The ride through all four Upper Cape towns and Barnstable, held in honor of the late Mashpee police officer, will leave from its staging area at Mashpee High School at noon. Riders will travel down Route 151 to Job’s Fishing Road, cut across to Route 28, and follow Route 28 into Falmouth.
The procession will turn onto Red Brook Road and re-enter Mashpee, then turn down Great Neck Road South. The riders will pick up Route 28 again at the Mashpee rotary and travel into Barnstable, where they will turn left onto Route 130.
Riders will turn onto Cotuit Road and follow that into Sandwich, then take Quaker Meetinghouse Road to Route 6A, which riders will take into Bourne. They will then get onto Sandwich Road and follow the road along the Cape Cod Canal until reaching the “five corners” intersection.
From there they will turn onto County Road and eventually merge onto Route 28A. They will take Route 28A until it meets up with Route 151, then take Route 151 back to Mashpee High School for the post-ride festivities.
Participating in the ride once again as the special celebrity guest rider is actor Paul Guilfoyle, best known as “Captain Jim Brass” on the hit TV show “C.S.I. – Crime Scene Investigation.”
Riders will be allowed onto MHS grounds to register, beginning at 8 AM tomorrow.
The day will also feature food and refreshments, motorcycle merchandise vendors, a 50/50 raffle, and live entertainment by High Attitude.
There is a $10 per-rider fee to participate, and proceeds will go to benefit a scholarship fund in Cpl. Paolini’s name.
Cpl. Paolini, a former US Marine, died in 2003 following a battle with cancer. He was a founding member of the Law Dawgs and its sergeant-at-arms.
