Every year my father makes the same New Years Resolution….”To not make any New Years Resolution”.  Consistency is important in life I feel. My resolutions usually revolve around trying to remember birthday cards for all my friends and family. Working out more. Spending less money…you know the usual things.

But with the economy being the way it is I have no money anyways. Birthday cards are very expensive right now. The gym is always right up the road. But mostly because being the person that I want to be is always an ongoing process that no amount of resolutions will ever change that. So with all that in mind I think i’ll follow my father’s advice and just keep on keeping on.

I know that it’s the time of year where we are all supposed to say thanks for all the things that our life has brought us. Well…actually I think we should be doing that all year. And while I am thankful for all my life contains; great friends, wonderful family, great job, what I’m […]

It Snowed this Morning!!!
Well…by snow I mean that it flurried a little bit on the way to work this morning. No matter, I’m still counting it as the first snow of the year.
Down in Arkansas people are still wearing short sleeves and I’m positive that my mother is still wearing flip flops. My mother makes […]

The other day I went out back to our production department. One of our beloved graphic artists, Bet aka Betness, said to me “Hey Esther, did you hear about the guy who tried to sue God?”
Noooo…I hadn’t heard about the guy who tried to sue god.
Ps. It’s true. There was a guy who tried […]

I want to be perfectly clear with my next words, so there is no room for interpretation…I care about this election somewhere between knowing how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop, and returning my library books on time.
It’s all so ridiculous…let’s face it here folks…whomever wins this […]

3.10.08 | It’s my turn…

Things I will change once I am president.
1. No more televised debates that interfere with the general populace’s TV viewing pleasure. I’m thinking we have them at 10pm and if you are dumb enough to stay up to watch them then more power to you.
2. “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman will be my theme song.
3. […]

I am not a morning person. At all. In fact, just don’t even bother talking to me till I’ve had at least one cup of coffee. Until that event has occurred I claim no responsibility for my actions. The amazing people I work with have learned this lesson the hard way. Many mornings Nanny creeps […]

I went home to Arkansas for Labor Day Weekend to visit the worlds most perfect nieces and to describe my trip there I have two words for you: Fish N’ Pig.
It’s a wonderful restaurant in the middle of a field/ farm, off a dirt road that serves…you guessed it, Catfish and BBQ. It was wonderful […]

20.08.08 | Olympic Fan Fare

I. Love. The. Olympics.
It’s not just a little crush. It’s a full blown love affair. I don’t just love a few of the sports, I love them all. Ping pong, volleyball, cycling, marathon, track, swimming, trampoline, rowing, gymnastics…if it’s on the olympics then I will watch it.
This love affair has been going on as long […]

11.08.08 | Weekend Story

One of the advantages of being apart of a huge family is having tons of relatives thus having someone to visit in every corner of the globe. So this weekend I traveled the very long distance to Amherst, MA. That’s right folks, I went OVER the bridge.
Going over the bridge is something that one really […]
