Cape Cod Theatre Project Accepting Summer Interns

Interns will work with seasoned actors, playwrights, directors, and technicians in creative and technical production. Activities will include observing theater professionals at rehearsals; attending tutorials, workshops, and master classes given by theater professionals; learning to construct and run the technical elements of a production; acting as publicity and hospitality crew; and producing the annual intern play in the last week of the season.

Hagon will conduct the Cape Cod Conservatory Concert Band in “Sousa Lives,” an authentic Sousa Band concert on Sunday, May 18, at 3 PM at the East Horace Mann Charter School auditorium, 760 Osterville-West Barnstable Road, Marstons Mills. Best known as the composer of “Stars and Stripes,” “The Washington Post March,” and other march favorites, John Philip Sousa was also a famed conductor.

Chekhov Lives! At The Woods Hole Public Library

Maestro Jung-Ho Pak led the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra Sunday in  exhilarating performances of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Overture to La Forza del Destino,” Johannes Brahms’ “Symphony #1 in C minor, Opus 68,” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Concerto #5 in E flat major for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 73 (Emperor),” with Van Cliburn Competition winner Jon Nakamatsu taking the solo role.
